Partition blocks for a mixed-use project in the heart of Tel Aviv
B.S.R Sarona is a large-scale mixed-use project comprising three 40-storey towers offering 420 apartments above five levels of underground parking, as well as five floors of commercial and office space, and various public facilities such as kindergartens.
The residential areas span approximately 61,000 sqm, while the office and commercial spaces cover around 20,000 sqm. Electra Construction served as the main contractor and faced significant challenges throughout the construction process, including the need to create an underground roadway for the Tel Aviv Municipality while simultaneously suspending three preservation buildings in mid-air.
As part of the construction work on site, Ashbond supplied 38,152 sqm of 10 mm gypsum partition blocks, enabling convenient and efficient construction without the need for beams and with minimal material waste. The project’s tight and demanding schedule required meticulous planning of the structural works, and Ashbond’s unique block helped reduce both execution time and costs, as it is based on dry construction with no need for plaster or waterproofing before painting or tile installation.
Ashbond’s gypsum blocks created monolithic partitions that combine the structural strength of conventional masonry with the smooth, uniform appearance of gypsum.
