Gypsum’s porosity property enables the creation of “breathing” walls and partitions, i.e. a high level of moisture is retained by the blocks under humid environmental conditions and expelled from the wall when the surroundings become drier. This property increases climatic comfort within buildings constructed with gypsum blocks.
